KSN Steve Gooderham

KSN Steve Gooderham
Assistant Instructor

Steven started training in kuk sool in May 1998 and recieved his black belt just three years later.

He particulary enjoys the fitness training but also the technical side and is known for accuracy in application of joint locking and pressure point techniques.

In Nov 2006 after coming through a period of illness he tested on his own infront of senior masters and the grandmaster. This was tough but a rewarding experience and resulted in him promoting to 2nd degree black belt and was presented with his certificate at the 2006 uk championships. Steven does not view martial arts as a sport so therefore competitions is not one of his main goals. He was however in addition to previously gaining a silver in sparring, at the 2006 uk championships won a gold in sword in event and bronze in staff n breaking events.

He has been training regulary since 2001 and enjoys this a great deal and is known for his sense of humour and patience and his ability to get the most out of his students through good encouragement and communication skills. It is always a great honour to see his students promoting and progressing infront of him.

Steven is now looking to the future and intends to work hard towards eventualy promotion to 3rd degree sometime in the near future.
